Snake Surge — Privacy Policy
Effective 8 August 2026 · applies to the web app at snake.lukewade.net and the iOS app
The short version: Snake Surge has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your progress lives on your device. The only data that ever leaves it is the nickname you type and your score, if you choose to post to the global leaderboard.
Data stored on your device
High scores, career stats, unlocked skins and achievements, theme and audio settings, and your leaderboard nickname are stored locally (browser localStorage, or the app's local storage on iOS). This data never leaves your device except as described below, and deleting the app or clearing site data erases it.
The global leaderboard (optional)
If you submit a score, we store exactly three things: the nickname you typed, the score, and the date. Nothing else is sent — no device identifiers, no location, no contact details. Nicknames are free-text you choose; don't put personal information in one. Submissions are rate-limited per network address to prevent spam; addresses are used only for that check and are not stored with scores.
To have a leaderboard entry removed, email us the nickname and mode and we'll delete it.
What we don't do
- No accounts, sign-ins or passwords
- No advertising or ad SDKs
- No analytics, fingerprinting or cross-site tracking
- No third-party data sharing or sale — there is nothing to share
- No data collected from children beyond the leaderboard mechanics above
Hosting
The game and leaderboard are served by Cloudflare, which processes network requests (including IP addresses) as any host does, per Cloudflare's privacy policy.
